Today saw the swearing-in of Droupadi Murmu as India’s 15th president in the Central Hall of Parliament by Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana. Murmu, who hails from the state of Odisha, has now also been depicted in a sculpture made of sand by a renowned artist from the state – Sudarsan Pattnaik.
