Mischievous elephant tries to steal milk from bottle. Watch sweet video

Baby animals can often do funny and mischievous things. And this video highlights such naughty yet adorable baby animals. The video features a baby elephant that was caught trying to steal some milk from bottles used to feed baby elephants. The video may leave you smiling from ear to ear.

In the video posted on Instagram, an elephant calf named ‘Vaarti’ can be seen making an attempt to drink milk from empty bottles, all kept together in a trolley, hoping no one would see him. Vaarti is soon joined by his companion in the “heist” as mentioned in the post shared by Sheldrick Trust on their Instagram page.

The video, posted a day ago, has received more than 2.58 lakh views.

“Vaarti is one of the sweetest elephants we have ever met… but even he isn’t above the odd milk-induced mischief! In typical Vaarti fashion, rather than go for a full-out heist, he peacefully sips from the empty bottles, hoping no one will notice. (Unsurprisingly, his best friend, Mayan, hones right in on him!),” says the caption of the video.

At the end of the caption, the organisation has urged people to visit the link in their Instagram bio to read Vaarti’s story and adopt her.

Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (SWT) aims to protect orphaned elephants and therefore shared Vaarti’s story, who was orphaned in 2019 because of poaching.

The clip has gathered several reactions in the comments section. An Instagram user shared, “I just gave his adoption to my best friend as a present for his 40th. Best present ever”. To which SWT replies “This makes us so happy to hear! Thank you for your incredibly generous gift- and we hope your friend enjoys being part of Vaarti’s journey”. A third comment reads, “I love that they all are a little bit naughty.”
