Genesis Systems is set to unveil its new home appliance, the WaterCube 100, at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, scheduled for January 9-12. This device tackles water scarcity issues using Renewable Water from Air (RWA) technology to produce over 100 gallons of fresh water daily, sufficient for a family of four.
The WaterCube 100 follows the company’s previous model, the WaterCube 1000, which generates 1,000 gallons of water per day and is intended for use in villages and communities. The introduction of this smaller model marks Genesis Systems’ entry into the consumer market, aimed at home or office use.
According to Genesis Systems, this appliance represents a significant advancement in water sourcing techniques, especially crucial in light of increasing water scarcity and frequent droughts. By enabling homes and businesses to independently source their own water, the pressure on existing water supplies and infrastructure can be reduced.
“Over 40% of the global population is affected by water scarcity, and with projections indicating that the world will need to provide food for two billion more people by 2050, the demand for water will only grow,” said David Stuckenberg, COO of Genesis Systems. “The WaterCube 1000 can supply an entire village with water, while the WaterCube 100 makes this technology accessible for individual consumers.”
The WaterCube 100 requires minimal maintenance and no costly installation, offering a reliable and sustainable source of fresh water for users worldwide. Additionally, a connected app powered by AWS enables users to monitor the water quality produced by their device.
